How to verify an Easy 40 record
Easy 40 records are designed to be checked, not trusted on faith. A student handing you an Easy 40 export is handing you a document you can independently confirm in under a minute.
To check a record:
- Scan the QR code on the letter with any phone camera, or type the record code above.
- The signed record opens. If it was altered or revoked, the page says so in red.
- Compare the entries, dates, and total. If they match the document, the record is authentic.
- Still unsure? The record names who confirmed each entry and lists every organization’s contact email. Contact them directly.
Why the chain holds
Students cannot self-report
Hours only enter a record when the hosting organization confirms attendance after the event. There is no way for a student to add, edit, or inflate hours. The person who confirmed each entry is named on the record.
Each record is signed and tamper-evident
A record is a point-in-time snapshot with a unique code and a cryptographic signature. If the contents are altered, the signature fails and the verify page says so. What you see is exactly what was issued.
You never have to trust Easy 40
The record names the human who confirmed each entry and lists every organization’s contact details. If anything looks off, phone or email the organization directly — the record is checkable without taking our word for it.
