How Easy 40 works
Ontario students need 40 hours of community involvement to graduate. Easy 40 helps you find local volunteer work, proves your hours are real, and gives you a clean record to hand in.
Find a shift
Browse local Ottawa organizations and sign up for a session that fits your schedule.
Show up
Just show up when your shift starts. That's all you need to do.
Get verified
The org marks you as attended. Your hours are locked in, no signature-chasing.
Export your record
Download a verified record whenever your school or university asks for it.
Why the hours are trustworthy
On Easy 40, students never mark their own attendance. After an event, the organization that hosted you confirms who showed up. Only then are hours added to your record. Every organization is reviewed before it can post, and verified organizations carry a badge. That chain, organization confirms student, is what makes the record credible to a school or university.

How to verify a record →Who’s behind this
Easy 40 was built by Edwin, a grade 10 student in Ottawa, after watching classmates struggle more with finding and provingtheir hours than with the volunteering itself. Paper forms get lost, signatures get forgotten, and good organizations are hard to discover. Easy 40 fixes the boring part so the showing-up part is all that’s left.
“Get the hours. Skip the headache.”
