Ottawa students need 40 volunteer hours to graduate. They’ll show up for yours.
Easy 40 connects your organization with motivated Ottawa students looking for shifts. Post an opportunity — students can apply on Easy 40, or keep using your own site or email. Either way, you confirm attendance in one tap. Free.
Why organizations join
Free
No cost to post opportunities or verify hours. Ever.
Volunteers who show up
Ottawa students need these hours to graduate. That motivation is real: they sign up because they have to be there.
One tap to verify
After an event, confirm who showed up. Their hours are added automatically. No forms, no signatures.
A public profile students trust
Your organization gets its own page: your contact info, your upcoming shifts, your track record. Students find you by cause or by name.
How it works
Post your shifts
List opportunities in minutes. Set the date, spots, and hours. We review you once, then you publish freely.
Students find you
Ottawa students discover your shift by cause or name. They apply on Easy 40, by email, or on your own site — you pick. Either way, you see who’s coming.
Confirm in one tap
After the shift, mark who showed up. Verified hours land on their record automatically. No forms.
Too busy to set anything up?
Email us your event details — date, time, what volunteers will do, and how you’d like students to apply (on Easy 40, by email, or on your own site) — and we’ll set it up for you. Most of our organizations started exactly this way.
Common questions
Who runs Easy 40?
Edwin, a grade 10 student in Ottawa, with every organization personally reviewed before it goes live. Questions before applying? Email edwin.nkpoman00@gmail.com — you’ll get a reply from a person, not a ticket.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Posting shifts, verifying hours, your profile page — all free, with no paid tier waiting behind it.
Who handles screening and supervision?
You do, exactly as you would for any walk-in volunteer. Easy 40 lists your shifts and records attendance — your normal policies (minimum age, waivers, supervision) stay in place. Most organizations use us for group settings like events, farms, warehouses, and markets.
What happens after I apply?
We review your application personally — usually the same day. You’ll get an approval email, then you can post shifts from your dashboard. Or skip the dashboard entirely: reply to the email with your event details and we’ll post your shifts for you.
What about our data and student data?
If students apply on Easy 40, they share their name and email with you — nothing more. If you use your own site or email instead, that information only ever goes where it already does today. What we collect and why is in the privacy policy, written in plain language.
